Kiwi Can

Today at kiwi can we talked about our new topic and theme, Our new theme and topic is Respect and For our school. 

We played a game called 4 corners. In the 4 corners there were names. Integrity, Honesty, careful and Truth. When the teacher called out 1 of 4 names we had to go to that corner. It was a really fun game to play and when you get to the corners you had to a action, The action's were a H, T, I and a C, you had to do it when you got to the corners.

Then we went back inside and played GKQ, after GKQ we had to go. 

Train station security

Dear Train station security I think you're gonna need some security to watch the train tracks because people are getting killed by running over the tracks when a train is coming.

Reason 1. What if a deaf person is going to cross the train tracks and he can't hear the bell and he thinks there is no train coming he/she might die.

Reason 2. Some people may be on there phone and their earphones might on  and what if the train’s coming but they can't hear or see it? There might be a chance of them dieing.

Some facts- From 1981 to 2015 people have died. Problary over a 100 thousand people have died or have got injured by train accident.

Most of the deaths are from the USA, the first accident started in 1831 and went all the way up to 2015, som of those accidents were train collision as well.

Reading work

This story was about a dog name Tom, he would always get nice stuff like a nice blanket in his Kennel, he would get nice food in the morning and he had a prefect owner that was so rich. All the other dogs were jealous of what he had until one day, when the owner was taking Tom for a walk tom saw these boys abusing the dogs that were jealous, so tom broke off his collar and ran and barked as loud as he could so the children could run off. When he got the dogs the children had run off back home. Later that night the dogs that he saved came to his house and started barking so Tom went to the gate and started barking back. Then the owner saw and thought in her head I think they are thanking him for saving him. She was right that day on the dogs always thought Tom as a hero.

Kiwi sport

Today room7 had kiwi sports. The sport we are doing is volley ball.Our coach's name is Antonia. For the first activity we did was called a Dig. First we had to get a partner then the coach told us how to dig then she told us to go and do a dig to each other over the net. There were three nets.

After that activity we did other activity that activity was called 3 hit set up. We had to stay with the partner. My partner was Levi R. When she taught us how to set to each other we went away and did it to each other it was easy setting to each other. After we finished setting to each other we had to we paired with other pair.

We had to pair because we were going to do something similar to sets. We had to pass it to our partner then out partner would pass it back and then you would have to set the ball over to your other pairs.

After that, we did spiking, if you were a left handed you would take one right step then one big left step and then put your feet next to each other and jump then slam your left as hard as you can. But if you were right handed you would do the same but your feet would go opposite. My partner and I moved all the way to the end, where I practised with him. My partner tossed it up and I spiked, then the opposite.

Next, we had a Volleyball match, where we were all numbered, I was number 2. So I got into place and opposite of me was my partner Levi R. I talked with him for a bit, then we had our match. In the end my team won against my partners team because the other team didn't have that good of teamwork.

After playing them, we moved on to another team where my team lost. Then, we packed up and left to class.

Netball

Today Room 7 had Kiwi Sport.
Our netball teacher's name is Anne,Our first activity was shadow follower.
We had to pick a partner (my partner was Dasharn) When we got our partner we had walk around and tap our partner on the shoulder then the person that we tap on the shoulder had a ball and where she moved her hands to the shadow had to try and follow.

Then we did other activity called Intercept game.
We had to get in to four groups it was me, Dasharn, Hemi and Justin.

Two people would stand face to face and the other two would stand next to one of the person's that are standing face to face.
Then the people that are standing face to face they would pass the ball to each other and the people on the side would try  Intercept the ball.

Then we did other activity was Four Corner Attack.
We had to get in a group,The people that I was with was Lio, Dasharn, Taki, Moses, Levi.G and Miami.

We had to go to a position and there were two defender's in the middle and there were one caller and the caller had to a number between 1 and 4.
Then our final activity was Shooting for shooting we got split up in to 2 groups.

We got number 1 to 13 and there were 2 netball's in the middle of the court and when Anne called a number the person's that is that number would run get the netball then pass it to number and then the person that got the ball and passed it to number one he/she would run into the shooting ring and only he's only aloud in the shooting ring and the team would have to pass the ball around in order from 1 to 12 and when they have they would pass it to the person that is in the shooting ring and if he got it on the first go the  team gets 2 points but if he/she miss's the shot the team only gets one point.

Today me and my group had a great session today because we read this book name Wild Life Detectives the book was about animal crime.This is a some stuff that  learnt.

Today me and my group read a book called Wild Life Detectives. The first page was Animal Crime Sleuths I learnt that if a crime against an animal happens, Wild Life Detectives examine clues to link together the suspects, the victim and the crime scene.

The second page was The Crime Lab. I learnt that specially trained experts work to collect any evidence and when they do they send the evidence to an animal crime lab.
